The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has published its figures for the first half of 2026. From January to June, 66,078 Golden Visas were issued.

What happened
The figures were released at a GDRFA Dubai media briefing on 15 July 2026, attended by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai. According to Gulf News, from January to June 66,078 Golden Visas, 1,051,978 new residence permits and 5,078,078 entry permits were issued, and 910,552 residence permits were renewed. Khaleej Times reported the same figures.
The figures came after a cooperation agreement in April. According to a Dubai Media Office release of 11 April 2026, GDRFA Dubai and the Dubai Land Department signed a memorandum of understanding under which three property-linked residency services – the Golden Residency, the Retiree Residency and the Property Residency – move into the GDRFA Dubai system.
