Onboard Residency is an immigration agency that has been operating for thirteen years: a team of nine in Budapest, Malta and Dubai, with at least three contracted law firms in every destination country behind us. For us, the word agent means what it originally meant: we act on your behalf – and every case has a dedicated case contact who stays the same from the application to the permit.

Who we are
Nine of us work with our clients: dedicated case contacts, who accompany the case from the first conversation to the permit in hand; case handlers, who assemble the documents and check them before submission; and partner coordinators, who keep daily contact with the law firms in the destination country.
We work in Hungarian, English and Chinese, and for other languages we provide a certified interpreter and translator – so we can communicate with you in any language. In writing – on WeChat, WhatsApp or by email – you can reach your case contact at any time; calls and video meetings are arranged in advance, at a time that suits your time zone.
Our offices are in Budapest, Malta and Dubai. Most of our clients come to us from China, India and Russia – we know what it takes to carry a case across several countries, time zones and languages.

About us
How we work – and what makes us different
We are an agency – in the original sense of the word. An agent is someone who acts on your behalf. Many agencies stop where the contract is signed and the documents are forwarded; that is where we start. From pre-screening through submission to the permit in your hand, one team carries your case, and at every step you know where it stands.
On the ground, the people who live the procedure. In every country the procedure is handled by a law firm that knows that country's practice day to day – we have contracts with at least three in every destination country, so there is always free capacity and a second opinion. They act before the authority; we coordinate the case and are responsible for it towards you. When needed, we are at your side in the destination country too: we accompany you to the offices and help you settle in during the first weeks.
We look first, then we recommend. We do not sell a programme; we see a case through. Before you pay anything, we check whether you meet the requirements – if you do not, we say so, and if there is a better route, we show it. An application filed for the wrong programme costs money and time; we do not take that on.
The price is on paper, not in a sentence. Our quote is written and itemised: our own fee and the external costs on separate lines, with deadlines. Whatever is not in it, we do not invoice.
One person, the same throughout. You need to know only one person: your own case contact, who speaks your language and does not hand your case on between the application and the permit.
Full discretion. This industry is built on trust, and we take that literally. We never approach our partner offices' clients directly, and we do not exchange contact details even at meetings in person – not even when the client asks. Documents go only to the partner acting in the case, who keeps the same rule. We keep the data in a closed system for five years after the case is closed, then delete it.
